Ex-football Star John Terry Satisfies his Ambition Becomes a Scratch Golfer

 

The former captain of the England national football team and Chelsea legend revealed that he is now a scratch golfer in a Tweet.

 

John George Terry (born 7 December 1980) is an English professional football coach and former player who played as a centre-back.

 

During his playing career he was a captain of Chelsea, the England national team and Aston Villa. He was also most recently the assistant head coach at the Villa Park too. He is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world at his peak, he is considered to be one of the greatest central defenders of his generation, as well as one of the best English and Premier League defenders ever.

 

The former centre back defender posted on twitter where he expressed his delight after achieving his goal of becoming a scratch golf player, following his retirement from professional football in 2018.

 

Recently The football legend  tweeted:

Terry is a lefty when it comes to golf just as he was on the football pitch. His home golf club is Wentworth in Virginia Water, Surrey, home of the BMW PGA Championship and headquarters of the European (now DP World) Tour

 

It happens to be one of the best golf courses in Surrey and also one of the most exclusive golf clubs in the UK, being home to the West, East and Edinburgh courses as well as an executive nine-hole course

 

His 0.3 index means he is now one of the best golfing footballers alongside England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Ukrainian legend Andriy Shevchenko

 

He is presently back with Chelsea Football Club working in the coaching department after a stint as Aston Villa’s assistant manager.

 

Being one of the greatest defenders in football with championships and titles, we hope he performs and build a great career in golf.

remember the Legendary footballer also posted a score card with the caption “What A Day For Golf ☀️🏌🏻‍♂️ @wentworth_club 1 Over off the back tees” a round which featured seven birdies and eight bogeys.
