Sunday Olapade, one of Nigeria’s current sensational professional golfer has hailed his new sponsors Kawai Technologies Ltd for the confidence reposed in him before and during the Libreville Open Golf Championship.
Olapade in Libreville, Gabon made the statement on Monday in a post tournament interview with our correspondence while dwelling on the Libreville Open where he had a show of brilliance to finish second on 10-under, over four days of stiff competition, only to finish two shots behind, Ghana’s Vincent Torgah, who finished 12-under to win the tournament.
Olapade played 73, 66, 71, 68 over four days in the Championship which teed off on Thursday June 2 and was rounded off on Sunday June 5 at the Golf Club du Mindoube in Libreville the Gabon capital.
Thus, he said, “For now I’m pretty happy about my game, because I’m swinging very well; I’m excited about it and my vote of thanks goes to Kawai Technologies for the sponsorship to the 37th Libreville Open golf Championships here in Gabon.’

Cameroon’s Pristy FON Nji was the biggest winner in the tournament. The Cameroonian had his best round of the tournament on the final day, where he made an hole in one on the 118 meter long par-3 hole-11, using a 52 wedge.
